Going on a motorcycle journey...

In the spring of 2009 I am planning on taking my 1971 Honda CL350 "Scrambler" on a journey of a lifetime. I will leave Prescott Arizona on the 1st of May with no particular destination in mind. I will take only the bare essentials with me; a sleeping bag, warm clothes and food. The goal of the journey will be to find absolute freedom and happiness without being part of "society." I will travel across the country finding new places and meeting new people. Everything that happens to me will be documented and posted on this website for all who have ever taken or considered taking a similar journey.

How it Started

I was raised in an environment were motorcycles were prominent and I have always wanted a Harley. In June of 2008, I got my first motorcycle, a 1971 Honda "Scrambler." Even though it isn't a Harley, it is a pretty damn cool bike. Since I got it, all I can think about is riding. I have ridden over 1200 miles since then; I ride  any time I get the chance.
I went on a 200 mile weekend camping trip in September of 2008 and I had the time of my life. I slept on the desert floor with only a sleeping bag and woke up with the sun. I have never felt such a sense of self fulfillment or freedom in all of my life. I have been working in kitchens for pretty much all of my life and have never made any real money. I have always struggled to pay my bills and have been living paycheck to paycheck for way too long. On this trip I realized that I am tired of this lifestyle and decided to try something new. After all, you only live once.
